The Guitar Gear Room

I often get questions from guitar players asking my advice on what type of effect pedals, amplifiers or other miscellaneous gear they should purchase. These questions can be tough to answer because "Tone" is in the ear of the player, like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Every player desires to have the perfect tone, and that can take years of trial and error.

Here are some pictures of effect pedals and a Marshall amp. There are literally hundreds of different kinds of effect pedals available to guitar players. There are also a lot of cool amps. Marshall, Fender, Mesa Boogie, Kendrick, and Soldano are just a few of the top amplifiers on the market today. You can't go wrong by choosing one of those amps.

If you want to use effect pedals, it is my recommendation to try the Boss or Ibanez line. DOD makes several good, low budget pedals. You may want to try buying pedals that are used in order to save some money. I would recommend Guitar Pedal Pusher for a great variety of guitar effects.
